My good friend TheGalleryOfEve shared a couple of journals from DAs CEO spyed

Words from DeviantArt's CEO about CHANGESIf you're not following his journals already, please take a moment to read what the CEO of DeviantArt has to say about "CHANGES" You might find it interesting seeing how things are viewed from his perspective

Visit the journal :eager: read it, and then participate :la: Give your opinion, spread the word!!! It's definitely a healthy  good thing to do
Edit: He wrote a new journal talking more about CORE!!! Go look!!! :la:

I highly recommend reading them as he explains several features and talks about Core membership including admitting they should have made a more formal announcement.  Read the comments too as he further discusses things with people that comment.

Honestly, does it even matter at this point? Deviantart has been known to be a bit shady and not communicate with the users, and this started years before now. I don't know, I might read it at some point but I doubt it'll make much difference. You can only treat people with disrespect for so long before they assume that everything you do is intentionally disrespecting them.

Well I encourage you to do so.
Some excepts:

"Each decision is likely to affect different pockets of people, and so you will always see the group that's unhappy pool together. "
"The happy group is happy, so they don't tend to band together, they just continue on being happy (typically) sight unseen."

An even better one:
"If we aren't reverting something, chances are it is working. Sometimes features are working, but continue to be controversial. In those instances there is often a pool of unhappy people who are not (in commenting terms) balanced by the people who are happy. This means that the happy people don't actually step up and say things like, "I LIKE IT" "I'M HAPPY" on the threads posted by angry people who don't like the feature. You probably wouldn't, either. Makes sense."
