Rise of the Fallen Pt. 7

Wait, Blanche was dead for 10,000 years?  But this doesn't make any sense.

“Toxic Love, I can understand you are confused, let me explain.” said Blanche.

I listened carefully.

“As I have told you already, I am a spirit.  As for why I am with the living has to do with this cult.  As you know, they are trying to revive Dark Side.” said Blanche.

I asked why they would want to.

“They believe that if they revive him then he will spare them from destruction.  They are naive to believe that.” said Blanche.

I asked why they need me.

“To revive Dark Side, a ritual needs to be performed.  To perform it they need a human soul.  Thus they need you.” said Blanche.

I asked how I was sent to this world.

“I don't know, the cult could not do that.” said Blanche.

I was disappointed but at least I know more of what's going on.

“Now, let's get out of here.” said Blanche.

I pointed out that I'm tied up.  Blanche smiled, passing her hoof through the shackles they became unlocked.  Blanche then removed the rope with a single motion.  Blanche then turned around and put her hoof through the cell door lock, unlocking it.

“How about now?” asked Blanche.

I thanked Blanche and followed her through the dungeon.  Everywhere cultists were knocked out.  I was about to ask when I noticed Blanche grinned.  I assumed at that point that she knocked them out.  It wouldn't be too hard seeing as she is already dead and thus can't feel pain.  We eventually reached the entrance where I seen a group of ponies in the distance.

“It seems like your friends came for you.” said Blanche.

Sure enough, as the group got closer i saw Twilight, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Apple Jack, Daniel, Derpy, Stella, Emerald, Sharp Pencil, Sketch, and Star Streak.  Emerald ran up and glomped me.

“Oh Toxic Love, I was so worried about you.” said Emerald.

I told them how Blanche saved me.

“Hey, I'm glad you are alright but who's Blanche?” asked Daniel.

“That would be me.” said Blanche.

“This may sound stupid but are you Light Side?” asked Stella.

“Yes, some ponies know me by that name.” said Blanche.

Light Side?  Is she like an anti Dark Side or something?

“I thought so.” said Stella.

“Stella, what are you talking about?” asked Daniel.

“What your friend is talking about has to do with how Dark Side was defeated 10,000 years ago.  You see, me and Dark Side are twins, not only that but our life forces are connected so when Dark Side was destroyed so was I.” said Blanche.

“That's not fair at all.” said Twilight.

“I know but it is for the best.” said Blanche.

I asked if Blanche would come back to life if Dark Side was revived.

“Yes I would.  As much as being alive sounds cool I rather have Dark Side not come back.” said Blanche.

“Wait a minute, if you are from 10,000 years ago, why do you not talk like they did?” asked Star Streak.

“Good question, I kept an eye on the world in case something like this would happen.  I guess you could say I got used to hearing the newer style of talking so I adapted.” answered Blanche.

Ok, it seemed like Blanche wasn't an ordinary pegasus.  I asked how we can prevent Dark Side being revived.

“They need you so if we protect you then we will be safe.” said Blanche.

“But we failed before.” said Daniel.

“That's true.” said Blanche.

Blanche looked like she was at a loss for words.   I told her that we'll be more prepared.

“How?  You used every resource and failed.” said Blanche.

I suggested destroying the Dark Fortress.

“That place is well protected by the cult, you'll be going into a death trap.” said Blanche.

I asked what we should do then.

“The best thing is to head back to Ponyville.” said Blanche.

We followed Blanches advice and traveled back to Ponyville.  Once there most ponies went to do whatever they were doing before leaving myself, Emerald, Stella, Star Streak, Sharp Pencil, and Sketch.

“I'm glad things went well.” said Sharp Pencil.

“I just wished we knew what we could do.” said Emerald.

“What you can do is come back with us.” yelled a voice.

I turned around and saw a small group of cultists.

“You think you can take us?” said Stella.

“We don't need to, look.” said a cultist.

The cultist moved out of the way showing another cultist with a filly in his grasp.  The fillys body was white and her mane was pink with rainbow stripes.

“Let me go.” said the filly.

“Shut up.” said the cultist holding her.

The filly began to cry.

“Look, if you don't come with us, the filly gets it.” said a cultist.

I gasped, the nerve of these cultists.

“No, let me go.” yelled the filly.

The filly bit the cultist holding her but was smacked.  I had an idea at that moment.  I stepped forward.

“A wise choice.” said a cultist.

One of the cultists grabbed me and the other one let the filly go.  As soon as the filly was safe I kicked the cultist off me and ran back to my friends.

"Gr... why you little.  We'll be back." said a cultist.

The cultists ran away.  I was relieved.

“Thank you.” said the filly.

“It's no problem.” said Emerald.

I asked what her name is.

“My name is Rainbow Pink.” said the filly.

“That's a cute name, where are you parents?” asked Stella.

“I don't have parents anymore.” said Rainbow Pink.

“I think I have a solution, follow me everypony.” said Emerald.

We strolled through town, eventually we came across a building with a sighn that read, “Ponyville Salt Bar.”  I asked what this place is.

“It's a salt bar, my friend owns the place.” said Emerald.

“So we go in and talk to her?” asked Star Streak.

“Yes but you and Rainbow Pink need to wait outside, only those age eight teen and over can enter.” said Emerald.

We went in, and were welcomed right awaybe a young earth pony.  Her body was orange, her mane was red and her cutie mark was a DNA symbol with music note in it.

“Hi there, what can I get for you all?” asked the pony.

“I was hoping you could help us with something quick.” said Emerald.

“Sure hun, what do you need.” asked the pony.

“Come with us, she's waiting outside.” said Emerald.

We all went outside with the pony behind us.

“This young filly was being held hostage by some bad ponies and she has no family, could you and Orange Curls take her in?” asked Emerald.

“Hang on, I'll go ask Orange Curls.” said the pony.

A few moments later the earth pony came out with another earth pony, his body was red, his mane was orange, and his cutie mark was a glass of orange juice.  I noticed that despite being a stallion he had a bit of a feminine appearance.

“What you think Orange Curls?” asked the first pony.

“Sorry Tequila Curls, I don't think we are ready for a filly.” said Orange Curls.

So that's what their names are.

“Thank you for your time.” said Emerald.

“No problem hun.” said Tequila Curls.

I asked what we will do now.

“For now, it's best if we took her in for the time being.” said Emerald.
