A Pony Tale Pt. 8
"We're not giving up yet Dark Side." said Daniel.
"That's right." said Twilight.
"You fools really think you can stop me even when your precious elements have failed? You must really be dense." said Dark Side.
"Enough of this banter, if the elements won't work we'll have to do this the hard way. Ok guys, only 4 ponys fight at once, otherwise we'll get in each others way, if one of us falls somepony must take their place right away." said Daniel.

"We can't even harm him." said Daniel.
The group collapses to the ground defeated.
"Do you see now you can't win, I will destroy Equestria and nopony can stop me now." said Dark Side.
The Elements of Harmony glow and fly away.
"Even the elements abandon you." said Dark Side.
"Is this how it ends?" asked Daniel.
The elements hovered high above the Dark Fortress. Ponys all around Equestria look up at them, word of the group heading to face Dark Side had already been talked about in town and everypony knows about the mission.
In Ponyville.
"What could this mean?" asked Mayor Mare.
"The elements, it seems like they are calling to us." said Rose Luck.
"Yes, I can feel it too, the brave group sent to defeat Dark Side is in trouble and the elements are asking us to send our support." said Mayor Mare.
"You can do it guys." said Nurse Redheart.
"Believe in yourselves." said Cheerilee.
"Make us proud Pinkie." said Mr. Cake.
"You can do it darling." said Mrs. Cake.
"Pinkie." said the cake twins.
"You must believe in your selves." said Lily.
"Show that Dark Side what you're made of Apple Jack." said Apple Bloom.
"Overwhelm him with your speed Rainbow Dash." said Scootaloo.
Various ponys in Ponyville cheer for the group.
Back at the Dark fortress. The elements glow more brightly than ever as the light from them begins to flood the Dark Fortress.
"Hmm..." said Daniel.
The group all got up one by one, their wounds healed.
"How can you still be standing?" asked Dark Side.
"It's the elements that keep us going, we can't stop until you are defeated." answered Daniel.
"You're really becoming annoying, very well you can't harm me so try all you want." said Dark Side.

In a world far away from Equestria, a person no different than any other person looks upon the fight through an odd device and hopes for the success of the group, another person in the same world also hopes for the groups success, eventually a bunch of people in that world begin to hope as well. Dark Side eventually starts to get over whelmed by the Elements of Harmony which are now several times stronger due to the support of everyponys sending their feelings of laughter, honesty, loyalty, generosity, kindness, and friendship.

"What, how can this happen?" asked Dark Side.
Dark Side collapses to the ground, a black mist emerges from her body and disappears leaving Princess Celestia in her normal state behind.
"Are you Ok princess?" asked Daniel.
Princess Celestia gets up.
"I'm quite fine, thanks for asking Daniel." answered Celestia.
Suddenly the castle begins to shake violently.
"It's going to collapse." said Twilight.
"Let's go, make haste everypony." said Daniel.
Outside the Dark Fortress. The ponys all make it out safely just in time to see the fortress collapse.
"That was close." said Apple Jack.
"I just remembered, what are we going to do about Discord?" asked Derpy.
"I don't think we'll have to worry about him." said Rarity.
She was standing next to Discord who has already been sealed away in a stone prison Dark Side must have defeated him already.
"How were able to harm Dark Side?" asked Daniel.
"It's quite simple, when every pony sent their feelings of laughter, honesty, loyalty, generosity, kindness, and friendship the elements became stronger and stringer with each pony sending their support." answered Celestia.
"So, we basically brought out the true power of the elements?" said Daniel.
"Correct." said Celestia.
And thus, with Dark Side defeated Equestria was saved.
Daniel decided to buy the abandoned house in Ponyville, with some help it became quite a place to live.
Daniel and Derpy realized their love for each other and began to date, as for marriage and foals, they just met less than 2 weeks ago give them some time.
Twilight searched every book she owned for info on Dark Side but found no info what so ever, he just wasn't in any recorded history.
Rarity started a line of warrior themed dresses which were inspired by this adventure, they became a huge success.
Fluttershy continued to care for many animals, she was shocked when several began to come from all corners of the world to see her many of which she did not know what they were so she borrowed many books from Twilight.
Rainbow Dash was contacted by the writers of Daring Doo asking if they could base a new character after her, soon afterwards the next book came out introducing "Colored Bright" as Daring Doo's assistant.
Business at the Apple Farm boomed, many people came just to be served by Apple Jack.
Pinkie threw parties for Daniel's arrival, curing all the curses from the mane 6, defeating Dark Side and Daniel and Derpy beginning to date, for each on came an after party, an after after party, etc.
The CMC recovered from their injuries and were told to take it easy for a bit, they did so, for only about 2 seconds.
Trixie continued her traveling magic show, she's still boasting and exaggerating her abilities but she is at least using a true story about Dark Side abet exaggerating her part in it of course.
The Elements of Harmony were returned to the castle and Discord was out back in the royal garden.
Everypony around Equestria gathered for a ceremony to honor the group.

"Wasn't that the most exciting story you ever read? It was the most exciting thing for me, well except for the time Twilight first came to Ponyville and I went all *GASP* but who can top that right?" asked Pinkie.

The final part of A Pony Tale. The scene with everypony cheering on the group was inspired by Paper Mario, I did this to get a lot of ponys in the story that wouldn't otherwise be in. This was certainly fun to write, I hope you enjoyed my MLP fan fic. What did you think of it? Did I write a good story, was the RPG thing nice or gimmicky? that was an awesome story! I loved it! Putting aside a few typos- the battle scenes were interestingly written! Dan is a likable character and I truly admire your writing style!
